Chlorophyll Content Measurement
Chlorophyll is correlated to germination, uniformity and aging of seeds therefore this machine will assist you in:
- Harvesting decisions in the field- pick when your seeds are at full maturity
- Storability selection in the warehouse according to aging of different seed lots
- Manual sorting aid or can be connected to an automatic sorting line that will separate seeds according to their chlorophyll level .
The CFA 200 (Seed lot analyzer) is an instrument for determining the CF distribution of a seed lot (not based on individual seeds).
The CFA 300 (Single seed analyzer) is functionally equivalent to the CF Mobile, but does not contain a PC and touch screen. It has a camera with higher CF signal resolution and sensitivity.
Description
IXeed CFA 200 “SeedLot Analyzer”
Basic operation:
The CF SeedLot is an instrument for measuring the visible chlorophyll content of seed sample. In general the chlorophyll content is one of the parameters determining the maturity of seeds.
The seeds are placed on a removable tray. After inserting the tray in the box, a chlorophyll fluorescence (CF) image is captured.
The CF image is automatically analyzed. Using image analysis, the CF distribution of the image is measured.
The output of the CF analysis is made visible in a histogram chart.
The CF Desktop consist of an image capture box and a software application for the control of the box and the analysis. The software can be installed on a standard PC or laptop with a USB3 interface with Windows 10/64 bit operating system.
Options:

Basic operation:
The CF Desktop is an instrument for measuring the visible chlorophyll content of (a set of) single seeds. In general the chlorophyll content is one of the parameters determining the maturity of seeds.
The seeds are placed on a removable tray. After inserting the tray in the box, a chlorophyll fluorescence (CF) image is captured. The camera used, has 12 bit signal resolution providing a high sensitivity and CF signal resolution.
The CF image is automatically analyzed. For each visible seed in the CF image a measure of the CF content is performed.
The output of the CF analysis is made visible in a fraction chart. Also, by clicking a visible seed in the CF image on the graphical interface, a magnified picture of the seed together with CF measure is shown.
The CF Desktop enables the analysis of larger lots by providing a protocol for consolidating multiple analyses.
